Christmas Craft Sale time is rapidly moving toward us, and I am no exception - working busily in my Studio making wonderful Christmas gift buying opportunities for you!

November 7 & 8 you will find me at the North Pavillion, Exhibition Park, Lethbridge for the annual "Fall Into Christmaas" Fine Art & Handcraft Market.

November 13 & 14th I will be in Blairmore at the Elks Hall for their annual Christmas Craft Sale

Remember, November 14th is Christmas in the Mountains, the Crowsnest Pass Winter Festival featuring a winter parade, ice sculptures, twilight shopping and many more wonderful activities for us all to participate in!

Plate Auction

I hope everyone can drop into Complex Skin to place their final bids on the plates on display there. Proceeds go to our local Food Bank.

Monday youre invited to a Coffee Party at Complex Skin from 2 - 4 in the aft. to place final bids, and some lucky folks will be purchasing a brand new plate for their homes - all made by local residents.

Three community minded businesses of the Crowsnest Pass have joined together to organize a Plate Auction in support of our local Food Bank. The plates are glazed and fired at Val's Ceramics by Design with the assistance of Val. The plates then move to Stone's Throw Cafe in Blairmore where they are displayed together with Silent Auction Sheets until March 31; they then are moved to Complex Skin in Blairmore where they stay until the bidding is closed on Monday April 13 complete with a coffee party at that location. Drop by these locations and place a bid on these wonderfully designed plates by volunteers of local community organizations - say Hi to Jessica, Lisa and Val.

Getting ready for Spring

Val's studio is just humming as we get ready for spring - all the spring/summer greenware is in. We have 20' of spring and summer project suggestions that will fit in any outdoor decor. Kids Club is running again, so call Val or check out http://valsceramics.com for details.
It's still snowy in the Crowsnest Pass, but that's a great time to do some spring planning!

Christmas 2008

Well, it's almost here for another year! The sun is shining in the Crowsnest Pass and it's about -22C. I hear there is almost enough snow for the groomer to get out there and get the trails ready for the snowmobilers, cross country skiiers, etc. Winter has indeed come to the Pass! I still have a couple of firings before my students are ready for Christmas - no pressure; right??

Anyhow, for you bloggers, from my house to yours have a happy, healthy and safe Christmas season!

2008 Custom work done!

Oh my gosh! I can't believe I've actually finished all the 2008 custom work I had lined up for Christmas deliveries - now for 2009!
And, to top that off, the sun is actually shining in the beautiful Crowsnest Pass; the snow has stopped and no (dare I even type this??) wind - there I said it.
